Former Prosecutor With Over 14 Years Experience
Todd Nickle has spent more than a decade handling criminal cases in state and federal court. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He began working for the legendary Johnny Holmes as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County. While in Harris County, Todd prosecuted virtually every offense from minor misdemeanors to capital murder. He worked primarily as a trial prosecutor in the district courts handling serious felony cases but also spent time trying cases in the Family Violence and Juvenile sections of the office.
In 2003 Todd took a position as an Assistant District Attorney in the Williamson County District Attorney's Office. He was a trial prosecutor assigned to handle felony cases in the 277th District Court. He spent more than five years in that office and handled hundreds of serious felony cases including high-profile cases featured on Court TV and Forensic Files. Todd was also responsible for the law enforcement training program, having trained over 1,000 police officers on legal topics such as confessions, search and seizure, traffic stops and crimes against children. He has also been invited to speak on criminal topics to judges, lawyers and law enforcement officers at conferences in Texas, Louisiana and Florida.
Criminal Defense Practice
Todd Nickle represents adults and juveniles in both state and federal court. His experience allows him to effectively represent citizens charged with all types of crimes: DWI, drug offenses, assault and other violent crimes, property crimes, fraud and white collar crimes. On each case, Todd will educate the client on the nature of the charges and the criminal process. He will thoroughly evaluate all the potential legal issues surrounding the client's case and honestly assess the evidence as well as potential defenses. Todd will aggressively defend against the accusations and fight for the best possible result, whether through negotiations or trial.
